Impact Confections, Inc. is a specialty manufacturer and marketer of confectionary products. Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Impact maintains two production facilities located in Roswell, New Mexico and Cambridge, Wisconsin. These facilities provide Impact with a versatile and efficient manufacturing platform which enables the Company to profitably manufacture a wide range of branded and niche products including WarheadsTM branded candy (the leading extreme sour hard candy brand in the United States) seasonal chocolate-covered confections, 3-D lollipops and interactive kids’ candies. Impact’s products are sold to a variety of blue chip retailers in the traditional, dollar, club and mass channels.

Background to the Transaction

Founded by Brad Baker in 1980 as a manufacturer of premium lollipops, the Company experienced growth through innovation and acquisition when by 2005, Impact was a diversified niche manufacturer of premium lollipops, interactive kids candy, WarheadsTM branded extreme sour, and MelsterTM branded seasonal confections. In 2006, Brad Baker sought to partner with an experienced investor who could not only provide partial liquidity to cultivate shareholders, but also assist in the growth strategy of the business. Brazos was introduced to the opportunity and ultimately structured a transaction that met the objectives of all parties and closed in January of 2008.
